John B Keane's epic tale of Bull McCabe's struggle on an off the land (based on local folklore around Keane's native North Kerry). Richard Harris, Brenda Frick and Sean bean (supported by a believably gormless John Hurt) provided a star studded cast to more than do justice to the story of land, loss, revenge, family struggles and of course drink.

Galway, around Leenane, along the Clifden Road, the scenery is the unsaid star of the show.
