The great traditions of the Irish country house have been
masterfully preserved at Marlfield House, an elegant
Regency style mansion in Wexford. The Hotel is located
just 55 miles south of Dublin and just minutes from
the white sandy beaches of the East coast of Ireland.
Mary and Ray Bowe bought the house from the Earls
of Courtown in 1977.
Together they supervised every
detail of its restoration and over the years have
filled the graciously proportioned rooms with antiques,
period furniture, valuable works of art and sumptuous
fabrics. Filled with fresh flowers from the garden
and blazing fires the house is the essence of a truly
beautiful and particularly romantic Irish country
house.
Facilities:
Marlfield House is set on 35 acres of grounds and woodlands.
The hotel offers it's guests luxury accommodations in scenic surroundings.
It is an ideal setting for touring the beauty spots of the south east including Wicklow, Kilkenny and Waterford.
The reputation of Marlfield was built on its food, much of which is grown in the garden.
